Coordinator of Religious Education - Part-Time

Resurrection Parish in Delran, NJ, is searching for an enthusiastic individual to join their team as the Coordinator of Religious Education.  The Religious Education program provides faith formation for grades one through eight, and sacramental preparation to approximately 100 students and their families.  This is a part-time position that will include evenings and weekends. Compensation will be based on experience and qualifications. The range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00 per hour.

The qualified candidate will manage, organize, and implement the religious education program for grades one through eight.   The coordinator will work with catechists, and volunteers to engage, teach, and form young Catholics and their families, as well as coordinate the sacraments of First Reconciliation, First Communion, and Confirmation.  This individual will be responsible for recruiting and providing training and spiritual formation of catechists and youth ministry volunteers engaged in the programs. 

Job Qualifications:

A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in theology or a related field is required; however, background and experience will be taken into consideration for a qualified candidate with a bachelor’s degree with an unrelated major.  Proven leadership skills as well as effective oral and written communication skills are necessary for success.   Proficiency in Microsoft Office, electronic communication, and strong organization and planning abilities are a must.  The successful candidate must be a practicing Catholic in good standing.
