Catechesis

The Department of Catechesis promotes knowledge of the faith, liturgical education, moral formation, teaching prayer, and education in community life in the church by the evangelization and catechetical ministry in the parish religious education programs, Catholic schools, Christian Initiation and the training and formation of Parish Catechetical Leaders, OCIA leaders/teams and all catechists.
 
 We assist the bishop in proclaiming the Gospel by supporting the parish and school and providing opportunities for faith formation in the diocese.  Our mission is to support life-long faith formation for children, youth, and adults and to help them grow as disciples.
