Facilities Maintenance Technician - Full-Time

Salary: $50,000–$65,000 per year

St. Leo the Great Parish & School is seeking a dependable, self-motivated Facilities Maintenance Technician to help maintain our parish and school campus. The ideal candidate takes pride in creating a safe, clean, and welcoming environment and enjoys working as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine building maintenance, minor repairs, and preventative maintenance throughout the campus.
• Maintain the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of school, parish, and outdoor facilities.
• Assist with custodial duties as needed, including responding to maintenance and cleaning emergencies.
• Set up and break down rooms and equipment for parish, school, and community events.
• Inspect facilities and equipment, identify maintenance or safety concerns, and complete assigned work orders.
• Support campus operations by assisting with deliveries, snow removal, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Valid New Jersey driver's license required.
• Excellent references.
• Previous facilities maintenance, custodial, or building maintenance experience preferred.
• Forklift experience is a plus.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Working knowledge of maintenance tools, cleaning equipment, and safe work practices.
• Ability to read and understand work orders, equipment manuals, and safety instructions.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to lift up to 30 pounds, push or pull equipment up to 50 pounds, stand and walk for extended periods, climb ladders, bend, kneel, and work both indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.
