Ten women serving in catechetical ministry in their parish communities were honored for having completed the diocesan Parish Catechetical Leadership Program. A Mass was celebrated June 12 in St. Catherine of Siena Church, Farmingdale, by Msgr. Sam Sirianni, rector of St. Robert Bellarmine Co-Cathedral, Freehold.
The two-year program, offered by the diocesan Department of Catechesis, provides adults with systematic training to acquire the needed skills for success as a parish catechetical leader.
Those receiving certificates were: Kerri Brambilla-Mezzatesta, St. Anselm, Wayside; Heather Kurilla, Visitation, Brick; Angela McEvoy, Nativity, Fair Haven; Kathleen McGrorry, St. Teresa of Calcutta, Bradley Beach; Ann Marie Nolan, St. Vincent de Paul, Yardville; Amanda Palaka, St. Martha, Point Pleasant; Suzanne Pfirrman, St. Mary, Middletown; Laura Randazzo, St. Catherine of Siena, Farmingdale; Elisa Schmidt, St. Robert Bellarmine Co-Cathedral, Freehold; Cheryl Wegner, St. Veronica, Howell.
