As of April 10th, 2026, and ending June 1, 2026, applications are being accepted for a single $10,000 grant from the Bishop George W. Ahr Endowment Fund. The grant is available to any parish, office, apostolate or ministry within the Diocese of Trenton attempting to provide services for the needy and vulnerable.
Named for the seventh Bishop of the Diocese, the fund yields approximately $10,000 in interest annually, which is customarily distributed among service organizations and parishes for special projects. This year, however, the grant committee will select just one recipient for the full amount of $10,000, which will be for a project that will have maximum impact.
Grant recipients for previous years included Mount Carmel Guild, Trenton; Collier Youth Center, Wickatunk, and Mercy Center, Asbury Park, as well as several St. Vincent de Paul parish conferences.
Applicants must provide the name of their intended project, its purpose and goal, the length of the project from start to finish, who the project will impact and how its success will be measured. Following the project’s completion, grant winners will be asked to provide a self-evaluation on how the funds were used and goals met.
Applications may be obtained by contacting Grace Magee at the Chancery & Pastoral Center of the Diocese of Trenton: [email protected] or by clicking on the form below.
All completed applications must be postmarked no later than June 1, 2026, or emailed as a PDF to [email protected] by 4:00 p.m. Monday, June 1, 2026.
