Ideas for Catechetical Sunday
- Invite Catechists to attend Mass on September 21st. Offer a prayer before the final blessing asking the catechists to stand or come forward.
- Invite children from the Religious Education and/or Catholic Schools to present the catechist with a prayer card following the blessing.
- Host a simple gathering for fellowship following Mass to celebrate their service.
- Highlight catechists on social media, electronic street signs, flocknote or the bulletin, thanking them for their service to the parish. Use pictures to highlight the ministry.
