Make a Difference… Join the Mission.

Mission: Jersey (2025) will consist of THREE, one day, in-person service events around the Diocese in July!  This Community Service retreat experience brings teens together from around the Diocese to GO OUT and live out our Catholic Faith to help those in need.

All teens in the 8th - 12th grade (including those who just graduated high school) are welcome!
Please choose just ONE of the dates to attend.

We will all meet at a Parish (or location to be named) for orientation, ice breakers and prayer before traveling to a worksite to help serve those in need.

All participants will learn about the projects they will be a part of and how it serves the community. 

All projects will be arranged and supervised by adult leaders and representatives from the organizations we partner with.

**Please come ready to help in whatever way is needed!**

Please try to register at least one week prior to the date you are attending to help us best prepare for the event!

July 8th: We will partner with Seeds of Service and the Visitation St. Vincent de Paul Society. Tasks could include, but not be limited to working in a food pantry, clothing donations, working in a community garden, organizing household donations, making blessing bags and sandwiches for the homeless, and more!

July 22nd: We partner with the Sacred Heart Parish food basket program. Tasks could include, but not be limited to, receiving and sorting food donations, making food baskets, assisting the the "intake" of guests receiving food, distributing the baskets and frozen items to guests picking up food and more!

***Change in timing AND projects for Thursday, July 24 at Rising Treetops:

Due to state regulations, we were just informed that we are unable to work directly with the campers as we previously planned.  Instead, we will be supporting the Rising Treetops ministry by working on needed projects at their facility such as yard work, repairs, cleaning, and other similar tasks.  Please be ready to do whatever is needed! 

***Drop off will now be at 9:30am and pick up will be at 3pm. Please wear closed toe shoe (required), bring a lunch (required), work gloves, sunscreen, refillable water bottle, and anything else you may need to work primarily outside for the day. Projects will move inside if it rains.

**It is expected that participants will be present for the entirety of the day. THIS YEAR it will NOT be possible to drop off a teen late or pick up early. 

**Advance registration is REQUIRED!**

July 22: 9am - 4pm

July 24: 9:30am - 3pm 

All times subject to change.

 July 8: please bring $10 These funds will be used to offset the cost of the supplies needed for our projects.

July 22: please bring Food Pantry items, specifically 

Boxes of Cereal
(these items will be packed AND distributed to those in need as part of the day)

July 24: please bring new Crew Socks for adults to be shared with the children we serve!

Youth Ministers can register teens as a parish group or  Parents can register individuals on the form below. 

*If you do not have a group to come with you are still welcome! There will be adult chaperones from the Diocese and the local parish on site for supervision.

All Diocesan Adult/chaperone leaders have completed safe environment training and have been fingerprinted. 

All leaders (pastors, youth ministers, campus ministers, director of religious education, etc.) must also ensure that their chaperones are compliant with child protection guidelines

     Space is limited so register ASAP!

• Parish/Group Registrations must include both youth and adult participants. 

• If in a parish group, the primary contact on the registration form should be the youth minister or leading chaperone that will be in attendance at Mission: Jersey.
• The Youth Minister or lead chaperone for the day should collect and bring with them all the release forms.
